Ooohh, I made someone mad today! An elected official even. Which is crazy since I am running for a local position. I mean, I certainly want people to be nice to me!
But, here’s the thing – I Was Nice!!
I was just looking for something in writing to back what I was being told. It turns out there isn’t anything in writing. So instead of saying that out right, I was given attitude and told to get legal counsel!
There have been roles in my life that I have set goals for, based mostly to be the exact opposite of someone who filled a similar role with disgrace, dishonor, and just a giant level of crappines. This will be one of those.
Tonight I am thankful that the actual retiring person that I would be replacing is of good character, so I have no worries with that.
The person I have been talking with today is actually in a different role. But, they give me a renewed / strengthened resolve to be able to say, I’m sorry. Or, it’s not what I thought. Or, let’s dig a little deeper to get your answers!
