One Week

Sometimes I share a little too much.  But, I figure, if it helps someone else; then the over sharing is worth it.  And, if it helps no one, hopefully it can be entertaining?

Last Sunday I woke up with a migraine the size if which, I haven’t had in a year and a half.  It was kind of my fault.  I think I know my migraine triggers and I (hindsight) could have done more to prevent it. I forgive me!

I have tried prescription migraine stuff in years passed.  And, to date, the best solution I have found is peppermint.  Peppermint at the base of my neck when a migraine is starting.  If the migraine is going strong, it doesn’t work the same.  Last Sunday, I woke up with the migraine going strong.

I pepperminted my neck, my pulse points, with a qtip in my ears and in my nose; multiple times.  Ibuprofen, caffeine, Epsom salt bath, rest, fluids, etc.  By Monday, I was functional.

Except, ever since the nerve damage-caused month of migraines from a year and a half ago my body does this neat thing where I can’t hardly eat for awhile with migraines.  So, hey, I lost the extra pounds I put on from my trip and the following week of eating recklessly.  Bonus, right?? When the damage first happened to the nerve above my eye, it made the eating situation so bad I lost 20 pounds.  I considered that the highlight of recovery! 🙂

Tonight I am thankful that after a week, today I was able to eat two meals!!  Breakfast was tough, but I finished!  Dinner was golden!  A whole plate of chicken with no complaints from my tummy!  Hooray! Now, I’m going to peppermint myself before sleeping, just to help tomorrow morning be good! 😁😁
