Today we said good-bye to a wonderful man.
To hear people talk about him . . it is something to be aspired to. I hope that some day I am remembered like he was today and like he will be every day.
There is a truth in life that seems to be often lost. Living a life of chasing what makes you happy will never actually lead to lasting happiness; it will only lead to momentary happiness.
But a life lived that holds service to others as a high priority leads to a lasting happiness. Why? Because we were never designed to live solely for our own pleasure.
Tonight I am thankful for knowing a man who found forgiveness and faith to find who he was meant to be; who found compassion and strength to bless others who crossed his path; and who knew a humorous and joyful spirit to enjoy life and help others to enjoy life.
