Hotspot

I’ve been baby-ing my router along for some time now.  I believe it is about five years old.  And it gets a lot of use.  So I think it’s probably had a good life in router years.  This morning though, I could get no internet to work.  I checked my ISP’s maps and there were no network outages.  I figured it must have been the end of my router.

While I was out today I did find a new router – on sale for $50 off!  I came home, plugged it in, and nothing.  No internet.  I tried a few different things.  Still nothing.

After an hour on the phone with tech support, it was determined that the problem is with the ISP’s equipment in my house . . . which is also about 5 years old.  *sigh*

With work still be done this evening, I am thankful for a mobile hotspot on my phone to provide internet when my regular way doesn’t work.  I am thankful for a new router, which will great once everything is fixed.  And I am thankful for getting things fixed tomorrow, so that the service will be great once again!
