Ah Summer Break! My KIDDOS are HOME! YAY!
It was quite a last day of school! I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning; the exhaustion of the last couple weeks finally hit me. If the exhaustion could have hit me a couple days from now, that would have been better. But, oh well. I got out of bed . . almost two hours after the alarm was set.
The kids were at school not even an hour when I got a call from the school. We are going out of elementary school with a bang I guess.
Anyway, it didn’t really matter that I didn’t get up early to get work done. Our internet has been out since yesterday. And although it was promised to be back, it wasn’t. And it still isn’t. I’m working off my phone’s hotspot. The slower, more expensive, hotspot.
I got to my first appointment late. I didn’t fit my second appointment in before school ended. I had to go later with the kids. Probably not really what they wanted to do on their last day of school.
I could go on. But I’ll stop. Because . .
Tonight I am thankful that my kiddos are home for the summer! I am thankful that I got to get a little extra sleep this morning. I am thankful that the call from the school wasn’t so bad that I had to come pick a kid up on the last day! I am thankful that I have a hotspot for a back-up internet so I could get some work done. I am thankful for a picnic lunch with the kiddos. And I am thankful for some kiddo company at a foreclosed home today!
