Yesterday I was on the road almost all day. On the way home, I did notice that the gas level was pretty low. But, there were no gas stations between my home in the last 15 to 20 miles of our drive. Eh, I could stop in the morning.
I stayed up late last night working. I woke up late this morning because I was so tired. I drove the kids to school and the gas light came on. But I was in my pj’s with no $$. I had left my purse in the house.
I was going to leave to take a child to the orthodontist. Ok, we could leave early for the orthodontist and get gas then. Except, one of my doggies decided to take a long morning stroll. I called and called and called for her. When she finally came back, we had no extra time to get to the orthodontist.
When we pulled in the driveway, my gas gauge was sitting on the red line. I spent my time in the waiting room planning out which gas station was closest, with right turns, and less stops.
After the appointment, we headed straight to the gas station! The gauge was slipping below the red line. We hit mostly green lights. And we made it!
Tonight I am thankful that I did not have to push a minivan to a gas station today! The child with me today asked if I prayed that we would make it to the gas station. Oh yes, I did!! And we made it!
