Time to Quit!

November 22, 2002 – I will always remember this date (although I am horribly bad with dates)! First, it is my brother’s birthday – so that helps my memory! Second, I was pregnant, so I can narrow the year down pretty well 🙂

Ok, anyway . . . I had quit my job. I worked in an industrial building that cut metal with lasers. Every woman that worked there had troubles with their pregnancy. And I was not going to breathe in metal dust while pregnant and endanger my baby! So I quit.

The hubster and I had no plan whatsoever. I had no job lined up. I just knew that we could always make more money. But our baby’s health was priceless. That night, the hubster took me out to dinner. I remember him saying, “Enjoy it, this is the last time we’ll do this for a long time.” Oh yes, we were half-way there . . . “living on a prayer!” 🙂

Now, I will always remember the date June 4, 2021. This is the date that the hubster quit his job! He has given them a three week notice – which ends tomorrow! We’ve got a much better plan this time around! We’ll always live on a prayer . . that’s just a good way to live!

I plan to take him out to eat tomorrow, if he’ll let me. And we can celebrate his last day at a “job” before he starts out on his own adventure! The kiddos and I are so excited for him to be doing work that he can enjoy with his own business! And to be honest, the hubster is getting pretty happy with the idea himself!

Tonight I am thankful for tomorrow being the hubster’s last day at his job! Maybe I should change his phone’s ring tone to “Take the Job and Shove It” and then call him all day long . . . 😉 😉 😉
