I read a thing years ago where a parent paid their kid to read these motivational and success-oriented books. I thought that was a great idea! And I have those kinds of books!
I was so excited and presented this idea to the kiddos! And no one has taken me up on this offer for years. . . until now!
My kiddo who will gladly tell anyone that reading is NOT his thing is the one who read! And why? I’m sure you are wondering . . . well, I won’t keep you in suspense! He wants to pay for us to go to City Limits again. 🙂 He’s been working his tail off earning extra money to rent a bowling lane for two hours (we usually only do one) and arcade money. He asked if the hubster and I would pay for food and shoe rentals. I told him we could probably do that.
Tonight I am thankful that a kiddo finally read one of these great books I have on the shelf! 🙂 I don’t care if he did it for arcade and bowling money! I don’t care if he did it begrudgingly after I wouldn’t give him another extra chore to make money with until he read! I don’t care! He read! Hooray!
