When I was in Fourth grade my friend had glasses. I thought they were super-cool. And boy oh boy did I want glasses too! Then the eye doctor said that I needed glasses! I was excited! Until I got them and had to wear those things every single day. Fast forward twenty years and I paid a small fortune to have lasers cut my eyes so that I didn’t need the glasses anymore.
I remember also thinking that a kid in my class with their arm in a cast was super-cool! I am happy to say that I did not get to try that look personally. And thankfully I quickly outgrew that desire!
I feel like this silly trend of dark circles under eyes being super-cool will quickly fade as well. But for now, hey, getting up without enough sleep (before my alarm, mind you) and looking like I’m a zombie-in-training is cool and beautiful! Um . . sure. Let’s call it that.
Tonight I am thankful that beauty is not defined by the shade of my dark circles. I am also thankful that my body seems to be nice enough to want to sleep at least every other night! By tomorrow my new beauty circles may be lightened. Here’s hoping! 🙂
P.S. If you want to have a good laugh, I suggest taking selfies trying to make a tired face look “good enough” for a blog post! I deleted about 25 pictures and laughed at myself. I’ll share the best one . . kind of, and a four star out-take pic!
