Tomorrow is a Special Day! Tomorrow is Mitten’s Gotcha Day! It will be six years tomorrow that Miss Mittens entered our lives!
Six years ago there was a snow storm. The kids had a snow day from school due to the weather. I did not get a snow day and was out driving to appointments. I was driving in the country, away from houses, and thought I saw something in the snow on the side of the road. I looked over as I drove past, and saw it move! It was a cat! And it was alive!
I turned around to find a little kitty on the side of the road. She was half-frozen. She couldn’t move her back half. She wasn’t quite fully grown, she had to have been born the summer before. I brought her home.
The hubster hadn’t wanted another indoor cat. The kids were excited! The kitty was glad for all the love and warmth. And she eventually won over the hubster too ❤
It took her well over a year to get good strength back in her rear legs. She still hates the cold and the outside. And we couldn’t imagine our lives without her!
Tonight I am thankful for finding Miss Mittens on the side of the road six years ago tomorrow! We will have to celebrate with a can of tuna! And the kids hope we get to celebrate with another snow day!
