Emergency!

Well this was not the night I was planning on!

I went in to RediCare earlier today.  I have been sickly.  Turns out I have multiple infections.  I do have a history of not being easily taken down by germs! – Please allow that graciously!  I need to give myself a little ‘ataboy tonight!

RediCare called in an antibiotic that I have taken before.  No big deal.  I picked it up tonight, got home, and took the first dose.  About 2-3 minutes later my hands and feet started itching like crazy.  Then my face didn’t feel right.  It felt like it was swelling.  Then my throat.

I have nothing here.  I don’t have allergies!  Two people in this house have seasonal allergies and take a daytime medicine.  I had no Benadryl or anything.  And honestly, I wasn’t thinking that clear anyway.

The hubster sped off towards the Emergency Room.  We were too late in the evening at that point for any Redicare or urgent care.  I called 911 on the way.  I had no idea what to do.  This has never happened before.  I prayed and prayed and prayed!  And the swelling stopped!  It didn’t go away.  But it stopped.  My throat stayed open!

About five hours from the start of this mess and I am home now.  My body is it’s normal size again.  The itchies are gone.  And I have prescriptions here for now three more medicines to help with all the original stuff and the stuff that happened tonight.

Tonight I am thankful for so much!!!  I am thankful I didn’t take the medicine right away!  I had my daughter in the car driving back from the pharmacy; that would have been much harder!  I am thankful I didn’t go up and wait for the prescription to be ready at 5pm, like they had said.  Then I would have been alone with this mess.  I am thankful that the swelling stopped and did not close of my air flow!  I am thankful the hospital got it under control.  And I am thankful that I am going to bed now!  I am exhausted!
