Listening

Listening is hard.

I am fantastic at making plans! I am super great at working hard! I try to be good at listening. But, I’m not always.

This fall, the hubster and I will be married 20 years (that is just crazy to me! I feel like I’m in my 20’s still most of the time). And one thing I have learned for certain is that we are quite different when it comes to new ideas. I have the new idea and go full steam ahead. He needs time to process the new idea. Sometimes more time than I can fathom.

Tonight I am thankful for a chat with the hubster tonight where I think I heard what he was trying to say. Hmmm. We’ll have to have some more chats as he continues to process things. And I will have to keep trying to listen!
